If you’re an independent plumber or plumbing company I apologize right from the start of this post. Getting your plumber from Home Depot seems like a very corporate thing to do and I am sorry for talking about this if it affects your business. I know so many great plumbers that are honest and worth their weight in gold when I need their services. But I wanted to point out that Home Depot does offer plumbers for hire.
I’m sure Home Depot plumbers are authorized service providers and they probably go through some sort vetting or qualifying process. I’m also sure their service providers either pay to be on Home Depot’s call list, or Home Depot takes a percentage of the service call bill or both!
Is it apparent I have never used Home Depot’s plumbing services? Was that question sarcastic enough? I saw this advertisement poster in the plumbing isle while I was shopping for parts to fix our downstairs toilet. I took a picture of it to remind myself that no matter how bad I screwed up the job if I had to throw in the towel and call a professional enough money would eventually get it fixed!
Would I have called Home Depot for my plumber? Probably not. But I would love to hear from you if you have ever used them, or have some information on the subject. Maybe you’re a plumber and you can offer some insight on whether this is a good or bad way to get a plumber? Either way, leave your comment below
Oh and by the way, here’s the video I found on YouTube that helped me get the job done! Thank you, Steven Lavimoniere. Your info helped me understand the toilet flange enough to get my job done!
