Old Town Beaumont refers to the neighborhoods in the city built before the newer master-planned communities went up around the year 2000 and since. Most of these homes are located east of Beaumont Avenue and north of 6th Street.
Many of the homes in Old Town Beaumont were built by single builders decades ago, or by builders developing only a few homes or streets at a time. The houses consist mainly of 3 or 4 bedrooms and are single-story structures, single family residences and have standard lot sizes typical of an older suburban home. There are exceptions to this type, size, and bedroom count and some homes do have larger than normal lots.
The homes in Old Town Beaumont also tend to sell for less by per square foot cost compared to their newer counterparts. The homes are mostly non-conforming to the neighborhoods and each structure is unique compared to the next. The quality and condition of the homes and streets can vary as well.
